Zowie, but the EMU comics symposium was awesome. Marie Severin lived up to her well-deserved reputation
as the nicest person in comics. Al Feldstein showed the courage it takes to spit in the eye of the HUAC – by
starting an even more ‘subversive’ magazine. Len Wein and I traded post-election sob stores over diet coke in
Prof. Rubenfeld’s living room, and Dave Coverly, Paul and I will be doing lunch soon. I feel so very
honored to have been given the chance to meet such amazing and talented people. I feel like a hack by comparison.

In other news, I’m headed back under the radar for a while. There’s ever so much work to be done on the
next book. I probably won’t be posting or be online much… these amazing creators have inspired me to chain myself
to the drafting table!
